The trainee will be assigned to the Head or Deputy Head of a Practice group (Litigation, Arbitration, Corporate, Corporate compliance, Intellectual Property Rights etc.)The work to be done by the trainee could include the following:
a. Attending client meetings and taking notes
b. Researching on Indian Legal databases, books/journals on Indian laws etc. to prepare draft documents
c. Accopmany colleagues to courts/tribunals, if required
d. To help in developing the practice of the firm in the trainee's home country
e. Translation of documents from English to trainee's language of expertise
f. Making presentations on comparative aspects of the legal systems of India and the trainee's home country
g. Attend Chamber of Commerce programs/conferences
h. Prepare research reports on various legal-industry subjects.
