Greifswald/Berlin: IKEM

The trainee will assist the team working on the decarbonization of energy using sectors of different countries worldwide. Depending on the qualification and interest of a candidate, the assistance will relate to such thematic tasks as the evaluation of energy challenges in energy using sectors; the evaluation of opportunities for decarbonization, e.g. energy service sufficiency, end-use energy efficiency improvement, infrastructure efficiency improvement, sector coupling opportunities, etc.; evaluation of country- and local- level climate and energy efficiency policies and programs; the evaluation of financing energy efficiency and climate actions. Everyday tasks will include assistance in data collection and analysis including desk research, review of data and literature, personal interviews, and surveys; assistance in the writing and editing IKEM products including reports, journal publications, presentations, and other products; assistance in event preparation and organization; and overall general support to the IKEM’s team.
